First part of the tourpictures. Preferably viewed starting down the page and chronologically going up. Later on this will be logical if the other parts of the pictures are posted too. I'm not a hero in anything involving computers or internet. Sorry. You will also see that my pictures get a bit better while the tour evolves. It was a new camera and i had to practice a while. So, sorry for the crappy ones in the beginning.
I love San Francisco! A fast summary of what we did over there... We flew in from Washinton DC into San Francisco around 11pm. Had some troubles with van rental that night but we rented a car to drive ourselves to the hostel were we could finally get some sleep. When we woke up we saw that we had an awesome view on the bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Drove around all day to get the equipment and extra chords the Crime Clubbers needed for the shows. At night we had some mac&cheese at Raf Janssens' house, where he lives with his wife and his kid. Had some beers and talked about Obama. Finally...the first show! The guys play at Noisepop festival in The Bottom Of The Hill. Awesome venue. Seeing my good friends in No Age back, but now on the other side of the ocean. Great houmous. Great food. Great beer. Great people. Sold out show (around 400 people i thought). No Age played a few songs with Bob Mould from Hüsker Du. They looked very stoked about it while playing. And they were ofcourse. Later that night we went to a burrito place, where i had a small bucket of mushrooms. They were ok, but not as good as a whole burrito instead of just a side dish. At least i amused the other guys with my ridiculous choice. A whole lot of crazy homeless people outside asking for smokes or just ranting bullshit in that neighboorhoud. Some groupy girl over there desperately wanted to play the fleshflute. That night we slept at Lacey's place, a nice and big apartment where she lives with a dude and a couple. Cool people. Slept very good in the couch. In the morning we had a breakfast feast with pancakewafels and maple syrup, vegetable omelet, spicy Jack cheese, coffee and chai tea. Ready for a whole day of strolling around San Francisco. Guided by Lacey we walked through the beautiful Golden Gate Park (flower power park) to Haight street for the Amoeba Record store and see some hippie shops and second hand clothes store. Later on we went downtown for an awesome bookstore (where i bought 'Into The Wild' by John Krakauer), coffee and chinese food. We had a few beers back at the apartment and went to sleep.
