Got to know him only recently from a couple of LA dude babies. I especially love his music where he only uses his cello and his voice with some effects on it. The more early stuff so to speak. The dance/disco stuff ain't my cup of tea. Go look for 'The World Of Arthur Russel' for a quick peek in his universe. My favourite records are definitely the 'Another Thought' compilation from '94 with this track on it:
and 'World Of Echo' from '86.
